We love to ship for free. It takes the guessing work out of the whole buying process, making it easier for you! Some services are not free, we can not ship anything expedited or to Hawaii or Alaska for free. International shipping would also be a charge and is limited. How Items are Shipped:
All the smaller items will ship via UPS or FedEx in a standard fashion. Always be sure and inspect your items once they arrive and take pictures if there are any damages. Email them to info@thegardengates.com and we will make it right.
LTL, what does that mean? LTL stands for Less than Truckload and it is used for all the heavy and big items. Our LTL service is curbside only and by appointment. Large quantities may result in partial shipments. This is a goal, not a guarantee – and may be slightly affected by the availability of fabrics & consumer demands.
Returns:
Changes/Cancellations:
Changes and/or cancellations of product or shipping dates must be received at our office within 24 hours of the acknowledgment date. NO EXCEPTIONS. Orders that do not follow these guidelines will be charged a 25% restocking or handling fee. We cannot guarantee that purchase orders added to an existing order will be shipped together. If items are added to an order or an item on an order is changed, the entire order may be rescheduled as of the date of the change. This may result in a later ship date than the original order. In the event an order is refused and/or returned to us, a 25% restocking/handling fee may be assessed in addition to the inbound and outbound freight charges.
Back Order/Partial Shipments:
Due to the considerable amount of items we offer, we may not initially be able to ship or deliver your entire order. In such an event the balance and/or entire order thereof will be back-ordered and shipped and delivered at a subsequent time or times. Standard shipping charges will apply to partial or back order shipments.
ALL SHIPMENTS – SimplyShade shall, in the event of no routing instructions from the buyer; select a carrier, that it feels, can adequately handle each shipment.
Order Scheduling:
Deliveries are subject to fire, storm, flood, war, rebellion, riot, strike or labor trouble, interruptions to transportation, perils of navigation, damage to the factory, equipment of facilities, governmental mandates, including the exercise of acts of God, failure of our sources of supply in whole or in part, and other cause beyond our control. We shall not be liable for any damages or failure to deliver or delay in delivery due to any such causes. If possible we will attempt to ship merchandise the week of the requested ship dates. However, in order to maintain an orderly schedule, we reserve the right to schedule the merchandise shipped to the nearest available production schedule and to ship accordingly.
To help remedy any question about what to buy please utilize our free design service. These items are all handmade to order and the majority of them are heavy. Shipping back fountains or pottery that weigh over 500 pounds is a laborious process that without the proper packing knowledge is almost impossible to do without damaging the item further. That being said, we at The Garden Gates stand by Simply Shade’s policy and if there is any issue with the piece we will work to resolve it in the best way possible.
